EASTEX Motorsports partners with Shelby Auto Tech Program

Carroll Shelby was born and raised in East Texas minutes from Adam Poland?s home town of Mount Vernon, Texas. As a way of giving back to his community and career, Carroll Shelby funded the startup of the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, located in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The program provides an avenue for motorsports-minded students to develop their skills in prepartion of working as technicians in the motorsports industry.

NTCC offers evening police academy

The Northeast Police Academy at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ is now accepting applications for its next evening police academy, which begins on†Monday,†March 2†and will run through September 2015.


The evening academy†meets from 5-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and every first and third Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.††This program is designed for working adults who may not have time to complete the daytime academy.

Wesley Foundation breaks ground on student center

The ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ Wesley Fellowship held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday to kick off construction of a new student ministry center on the NTCC campus. The Wesley Fellowship Board, which is made up of members of area United Methodist Churches, has raised funds for the project since 2006. The student center will feature recreational and meeting spaces that will be available to students, faculty, staff and community members.
