Pride Celebration held June 9th

NTCC’s Pride Flock student organization hosted a Pride Celebration on June 9th in the Humanities building. The event included Pride crafts, water balloons and a featured showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The mission of Pride Flock is to create a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ students and allies, and to promote awareness and education of LGBTQ+ history and current issues.

A&M-Commerce admissions counselor coming to campus

Yadira Muñoz, Admissions Counselor for Texas A&M University-Commerce, is coming to NTCC on Tuesday, June 14. She will be in the Career and Transfer Center in BT 111 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Muñoz will assist students with their applications and answer questions about transferring to A&M-Commerce.

NTCC receives ALA COVID Relief Fund grant

The Ðǿմ«Ã½ library was one of 77 libraries nationwide to be awarded an emergency relief grant from The American Library Association (ALA). The fund is providing $1.55 million in emergency relief grants to libraries that have experienced substantial economic hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic. Through the ALA COVID Library Relief Fund, NTCC will be awarded $20,000 to support library services and operations.
