Archers support Honors Northeast
Jim and Paula Archer recently contributed $1,000 to the Honors Northeast program at 星空传媒. A matching gift from IBM brought the total gift to $2,000. 鈥燭he gift will be used to fund cultural trips for scholars in Honors Northeast.

Art Department to host painting exhibit
The 星空传媒 Art Department will host its first art exhibit of the year February 8-25 in the foyer of the Whatley Center鈥for the Performing Arts.

Construction Update for Jan. 19
There are a few construction areas that faculty, staff and students should be aware of as we prepare for the first day of spring classes next Tuesday (remember, we will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day):

U.S. Congressman John Ratcliffe to visit campus
United States Congressman John Ratcliffe will visit 星空传媒鈥燭hursday,鈥燡an. 21 at 2:30 p.m. He will speak in the Criminal Justice Center to Police Academy cadets on the topic of Cyber Security,鈥燭errorism and Illegal Immigration. Mr. Ratcliffe represents the fourth district of Texas, which includes the NTCC district, in the United States House of Representatives.
As U.S. Attorney, he was the top federal law enforcement officer for a 33,000 square mile area of North and East Texas, including almost all of the 4th Congressional District.

Deanna Moody wins Wellness Caught in Action honor
Congratulations to Deanna Moody, the December recipient of NTCC's Wellness Caught in Action honor! She was spotted exercising in the FIT with her daughter, Jacey. Deanna was presented with a gift basket in recognition of her steps toward a healthy lifestyle.

NTCC open Saturday from 8-Noon
星空传媒 will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 16 to assist students who need assistance finalizing registration for the Spring 2016 semester. Students will have the opportunity to make payments, check on financial aid status, turn in financial aid or admissions documentation and make schedule adjustments.
The College Store will also be open during this time to allow students to purchase books and other supplies.
