NTCC to host, compete in Region XIV Baseball Tourney
星空传媒 will host the NJCAA Region XIV Baseball Tournament May 12-16 at Eagle Field. The top eight teams from Region XIV will compete for the chance to play in the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction Colorado later this summer.
The NTCC Eagles enter the tournament as the top seed in the Eastern Zone of the region with a 26-10 record. The Navarro College Bulldogs earned the second spot in the zone with a 24-12 record.
NTCC Rodeo sends four to CNFR

The Notheast Texas Community College Eagles Rodeo Team will once again be represented at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR).
NTCC Ag students design flower beds at Hanson-Sewell Center
星空传媒 Sustainable Agriculture students recently participated in a hands-on project at the NTCC Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg.鈥犫燯nder the guidance of Assistant Professor, Chris Oefinger, the students were assigned the task of redesigning the flower bed at the center. A landscaping plan was selected from those submitted by students. The next task included, cleaning the bed, preparing the soil, planting, and replacing the weed guard and mulch.
Marguerite Morris named April Fittest Employee of the Month

Classified Staff Organization supports Relay for Life

Poster contest winners announced

The fifth-annual McGraw Hill Poster Contest was held on April 27 at the鈥燱hatley Center for the Performing Arts at鈥犘强沾.
This competition gives NTCC students and local high school seniors an opportunity to present their unique ideas and research.
NTCC Adult Education to hold GED commencement
The 星空传媒 Adult Education program will hold its annual commencement ceremony for students who received their General Education Development鈥(GED) diploma during the 2011-2012 school year on Thursday, May 10. The ceremony will be held at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the NTCC campus at 7 p.m. Family and friends of graduates are encouraged to attend.
May 8 Reception to honor McCallum
星空传媒 will host a reception for Latrel McCallum on Tuesday, May 8 from 12-1 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts foyer. The event will鈥爃onor鈥燤cCallum's 14 loyal years of service as a member of the NTCC Board of Trustees.鈥 She retired from the board in April.
"Ms. McCallum was a great asset to the NTCC Board and her presence will be greatly missed. We鈥爓ant to鈥爂ive the public a chance to thank her for her service and leadership as a board member," NTCC President, Dr.
Bryan Hughes meet and greet planned for May 3
星空传媒, the Mount Pleasant-Titus County Chamber of Commerce and the Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce invite the public to attend a meet and greet to introduce your new state representative, Bryan Hughes.
The event is free and will be held on Thursday, May 3 from 12-1 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the NTCC campus. Remarks will be at 12:30 p.m.
Eagles sweep Navarro, clinch regular season title
The NTCC Eagles moved one step closer to the Junior College World Series Wednesday as they swept defending national champion Navarro to earn the regular season conference title.
A pair of outstanding pitching performances from starters Jordan Marah and Tanner Allgood, coupled with a strong defensive showing, carried the day as the Eagles defeated the visiting Bulldogs 3-1 and 2-0.
With the wins, the Eagles finish the regular season 26-10 in Region XIV Eastern Zone play and 33-14 overall.
