The �ǿմ�ý (NTCC) Foundation has received a $360,000 gift from the estate of David and Pat Sistrunk. This generous contribution will establish the NTCC Building Enhancement Fund, dedicated to supporting campus facility improvements and long-term infrastructure needs.​

�ǿմ�ý (NTCC) recognized exceptional student achievement at the 2024-2025 Eagle Excellence Awards Reception, held Tuesday, April 22, in the Whatley Center Foyer on the NTCC campus. to view/download photos from the event.

�ǿմ�ý is now enrolling for May Intersession, Summer, Fall, and December Intersession courses. Students are encouraged to register as soon as possible to get the classes they need in their preferred format—whether online, in-person, or hybrid.

Registering early increases the chance of securing your ideal schedule and staying on track with your academic goals.

�ǿմ�ý celebrated spring in a big way with its annual Easter Bash, held at the NTCC Athletics Complex. The event drew a large crowd of students, faculty, and staff who gathered for a fun-filled afternoon of music, games, and an epic Easter egg hunt.

More than 3,000 eggs were hidden across the complex—including 36 golden eggs with exciting prizes like hoverboards, movie tickets, and high-tech lap desks. The hunt was a huge hit, with every egg found in just a matter of minutes.

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, the �ǿմ�ý Foundation has a new endowed scholarship. NTCC recently received a gift of $25,500 to establish the new Charles L. and M. Hazel Black Scholarship. The scholarship is open to students with financial need. �ǿմ�ý is excited to announce the official name of its new outdoor pavilion—The Eagles Nest! Formerly referred to as the Unity Center during construction, the final name was selected through a campus-wide vote, reflecting school spirit and student pride.

To celebrate the opening of this exciting new space, NTCC will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 1, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The event will take place at the pavilion, located next to the Student Union Building.

�ǿմ�ý’s Continuing Education and Corporate Training department recently celebrated the completion of its HVAC Installer Helper Certificate Program with a special ceremony honoring 14 graduates. The 13-week, 140-hour program provided students with hands-on training and essential foundational knowledge to begin a career in the HVAC industry.

The STEM Lunch and Learn meeting Tuesday, April 15, witnessed a “standing room only” crowd as approximately 95 students, faculty, and administrators attended the presentations given by three NTCC students and an NTCC biology professor.

Psi Beta Honor Society hosted its 6th Annual Suicide Prevention Training and 5K, Saturday, April 12.  Adam Metts, Director of East Texas A&M Counseling Center, and Tina Yang, Ph.D., Associate Director, presented QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) training.  

Heavyn Smith said of the training: "Just like CPR, the more people who know how to talk to someone who is thinking about suicide, the more lives we can save."
