Litzy Flores, Sarah Hamlin, LaDarrius Patterson, and Isabel Tresidder were recently recognized nationally as “Leaders of Promise.” Each will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

The annual �ǿմ�ý Rodeo will return to the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Grounds October 9–11, 2025. You won’t want to miss the chance to see NTCC Eagles Rodeo athletes go up against some of the top competitors in the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

�ǿմ�ý (NTCC) is turning 40, and the community is invited to join the party! Since welcoming its first students in 1985, NTCC has proudly served the region for four decades. To celebrate, the college is hosting a 40th Anniversary Community Picnic on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the main campus plaza near the Eagles Nest Pavilion.

The �ǿմ�ý Eagles Baseball team welcomed about 30 young athletes to campus last weekend for a fun-filled kids camp. Youth ages 5-12 had the opportunity to learn baseball fundamentals, practice their skills, and play alongside NTCC players.

The �ǿմ�ý Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 26th. A Public Hearing on Proposed 2025-2026 Operating Budget and Proposed Tax Rate was held prior to the meeting.  There were no public comments.

Honors Northeast, the honors program of �ǿմ�ý, has released the summer 2025 edition of its Alacrity newsletter.

The latest issue highlights accomplishments of current students and alumni, shares updates on recent events, and offers a glimpse into the many opportunities available through the program.

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at �ǿմ�ý is thrilled to announce its 2025–2026 Heart of the Arts season. As NTCC celebrates its 40th anniversary, the Whatley Center is marking the milestone year with an exciting blend of national touring acts, local talent, theatre productions, and art exhibits.
