College closed July 4th

星空传媒 will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The college will resume regular hours on Monday, July 7th. 

Students may still access online courses, register, make payments and manage other college business at . The second 5-week summer session begins Monday, July 14th and students can still sign up for classes. 

We hope everyone has a great time celebrating the holiday safely!

Monse Rivero-Sanchez wins $16,000 PTK Board of Trustees Excellence in Leadership Scholarship

星空传媒 student Monse Rivero-Sanchez has been awarded the 2025 Phi Theta Kappa Foundation Board of Trustees Excellence in Leadership Scholarship, a prestigious national honor that includes a $16,000 award toward her continued education. She is the first NTCC student ever selected for this highly competitive scholarship.

Baseball plans high school showcase camp

The 星空传媒 (NTCC) Baseball program will host a High School Showcase Camp on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Eagle Field at Bob Baker Stadium. The event is open to high school students (grades 9-12) and college transfers interested in taking their game to the next level.

Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m., with the camp starting promptly at 1:00 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in front of the NTCC coaching staff and will receive a written evaluation at the conclusion of the session.

NTCC mourns the passing of former president Dr. Charles Florio

星空传媒 is saddened to share the passing of Dr. Charles Florio, who served as president of the college from 1995 to 2008. Dr. Florio was a dedicated leader whose vision and service helped shape NTCC during a period of significant growth and development.

Following his retirement from NTCC, Dr. Florio relocated to the Longview area and continued to contribute to higher education through a brief tenure at Tyler Junior College before retiring fully. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Lynn.

Athletic Training program provides assistance at Mount Pleasant PRCA rodeo

The 星空传媒 Athletic Training program partnered with the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association to provide Sports Medicine Coverage to the Mount Pleasant Professional Cowboys Rodeo Association (PRCA) Rodeo. Head Athletic Trainer Justin Hargrove organized the medial coverage which included NTCC Student Athletic Trainers Makayla Patterson and Savannah Soto and future Eagles Cara Graham and Halle Johnston. Professional Athletic Trainers also donated with many years of Athletic Training/Rodeo experience rounded out the Sports Medicine team each night.
