星空传媒 is pleased to announce a new Logistics micro credential training program that begins March 21. The 8-week, nine credit hour program is designed to provide students with an introduction to the high-demand field of logistics.
Courses included in the program are: Introduction to Business Logistics, Introduction to Materials Handling, and Warehouse and Distribution Center Management.
The 星空传媒 Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Four new students recently graduated from the program. NTCC's Alpha Mu Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa will host an exciting Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre event on Tuesday, February 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center foyer.
星空传媒 Baseball will host the Eagle Classic this coming weekend, February 18-19. The Eagles will host Alvin Community College, Galveston College, and Grayson College for the weekend of games at Eagle Field at Bob Baker Stadium on the campus of NTCC.
Honors Northeast is now accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year. 1 March is the deadline for obtaining an optimal scholarship. The program confers institutional and private scholarships, as well as many other amenities. Over half of the students in the program earn as they learn. Scholarships outrace the costs of matriculation.
Each year, the international honor society of community colleges, Phi Theta Kappa, selects leading community college students across the state to be part of an All-Texas Academic Team. This group, in turn, receives special consideration for possible entry into an All USA Academic Team. This year, Aaliyah Avellaneda, and John Rodriguez, two Presidential Scholars, and members of NTCC鈥檚 award-winning chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Mu Chi, received this honor from NTCC.
The 星空传媒 Foundation recently received a $5,000 gift from Gateway Bronco. The funds will be used to provide scholarships for students in NTCC鈥檚 Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program. The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at 星空传媒 will host a concert by Forever Motown on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. This is a full stage production of your favorite hit songs from all the Motown Legends.
Alpha Mu Chi, a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at 星空传媒, recently completed a yearlong Honors in Action project. 鈥淔inally Free: Folklore Becomes Legacy鈥 is half-hour documentary featuring the voices, stories, and legacies of our African American community members.
